Courses for Toronto's Center for Multicultural Dance

Junior dance ( age 5-9)

Classes are specifically designed for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students. This program introduces students to a variety of different dance styles such as:

Ballet.
Jazz
Hip-Hop
Acro
Tap
Breakdance.
Flamenco
Russian dance.

Senior dance (10-18)

This Program provides variety of dance classes for students of all Levels. The Senior Division offers weekly classes with a focus on fun and physical fitness.

Program is designed to keep up peak motivation (for the first timer, it is a wonderful introduction to the basics of dance). In each class, students will expand their sense of rhythm, style, flexibility and coordination.

Subsidized Program for GIFTED Kids (age 8-12)

to commence in the fall, 2010

This program is created to prepair selected children for professional schools and dance companies. An intense program offers detailed exploration in all movement styles. The course offers a minimum of three classes a week 1 ½ hour long, and often more. Audition will be held in August: Wednesdays and Fridays, 6pm-9pm.

Summer Camp

Creation and friendship 2011 Summer Camp

Children ages 5-12 are welcome to join us for a summer of fun and learning through the arts!

CMD summer Camp is an amazing place for children to learn and develop new skills as a dance, music, art , make new friends, practice core values, build leadership qualities and most important, have fun! Campers will enjoy a fun filled day of activities in the care and safety of trained and experienced staff. These memories and friendships will last a lifetime!

Sessions and Hours:

4 weeks intensive Dance, Art and Music program:

Monday to Friday from 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm. (extra hours available)

July 25th -29th;

August 1st -5th;

August 8th-12th;

August 15th-19th

FEES: $250 per week ($55 per day)

Late registration fee (after June 1^st) - $40 per child

· Stretching Guitar Drawing & Painting

· Ballet Piano Clay Sculpturing

· Hip-hop Drums Papercraft

· Breakdance Vocal Beadwork

· Jazz Pyrography

· World Multicultural dances

(Russian, African, Irish, Indian,

Spanish and more)

Final Presentation

At the end of our two-week sessions, parents, friends and relatives are invited to join us for a ‘Festival of the Arts’, with a dance and Music performances and Art exhibitions by participants.
