Toronto's Russian folklore dance group
"Revival"Russian Folklore Dance Group Artistic director and choreographer Ekaterina Kornienkova's “Revival”, was formed in 2002 under the Russian Canadian Theatrical Community Centre and based in Russian House, Toronto. This location is a cultural and educational institution serving the Russian community. Russian traditional folk dance is one of the mane trends of our ensemble. Folk dancing helps develop team building, working together and bonding among the performers. Dance ensemble “Revival” is a great opportunity for our talented young students to show their individual skills. They have a possibility to participate a variety of dances in different events. “Revival” has performed in annual city festivals including Caravan, Toronto multicultural festivals at the Canadian National Exhibition, Mell Lastman Square and Canada’s Wonderland. For the past three successive seasons “Revival” has been chosen over competing dance companies from across Canada to perform in the prestigious Folklorama Festival based in Winnipeg.
